Medication training

Our Support Worker team in Karratha are currently upskilling by gaining the appropriate

skills and knowledge to support and administer medication through training to administer medication to participants. Delivered by Karratha's new Training Coordinator, Liz.


Medication training is essential for those working in the health and social care sector. This could include those working in a care home setting such as care workers, carers, nurses, support workers, and other care staff roles. We are excited to be able to offer this training in-house.



Some of the topics assessed in this training are:


Administering medication through:

  • Blister packs and pill bobs

  • PRN medication

  • Eyes drops

  • Transdermal patches

  • Topic creams

  • Inhalers

Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) correctly via:

  • Infection control

  • (PPE) including donning and doffing

Completing Medication Administration Record (MAR) is in accordance with EPICs standards.
